Church of Pantokrator, Religious Celebration on the 6th of August
The famous Pontikonissi (Mouse Island) is located opposite the area of Kanoni, which can be reached by a walkway from the area of Perama. Along the walkway small boats offer a boat ride to Mouse Island with its natural beauty and the small church of Pantokrator, dating back to the 13th century. On Mouse Island a religious celebration takes places on the 6th of August every year and this day is considered the best to visit this tiny island. You can visit it only by sea: several boat trips are being organized to Mouse Island, especially during the summer months.
