One of the top places to visit in Corfu town is the Palace of St. Michael & St. George, former house of British Commissioners, that was built between 1819 and 1824. Today, this palace houses the Museum of Asian Art, which showcases artworks coming from India and Far East. Most of the artworks have been donated from private collections and it is noteworthy that a great number of outstanding artworks come from countries like India, Pakistan, Tibet etc.. The artworks of the Museum of Asian Art in Corfu have been presented in international exhibitions.
